Bob’s Red Mill Products: A Man of Faith, A Product of Quality!
There are quality whole wheat flours and bread ingredients from many manufacturers but few have such a sense of family and faith tied to it! Bob and Charlee Moore created Bob’s Red Mill Products, an Oregon-based company, in 1978.
The company began when Bob and his sons purchased a working stone mill so they could produce whole grains. The vintage mill generated quality products which led to a regionally successful business. Unfortunately an arsonist destroyed the building in 1988. Being a man of faith, Bob rebuilt. Today their 350 employees produce, package and market thousands of products to 71 countries proving that basic, quality ingredients, milled with retaining the whole grain elements without fillers, can create a successful business.
The increase in demand for products that are wheat-free is also increasing the sales opportunities for Bob’s Red Mill ingredients. Some of these products, such as Bob’s Almond Meal/Flour, allow people with gluten-free concerns to enjoy baked goods.
