In A Rush? Drink Your Salad!

This recipe comes a California girl named Tess Masters. ¬†This drink is loaded with cancer-fighting, digestion-boosting, health-building ingredients! ¬†Unfortunately, she didn’t provide a calorie breakdown, but the ingredients all seem amazingly healthy.

Tastes-Like-Ice-Cream Kale Smoothie

– Makes 2 cups
1 cup water
1/2 cup raw, unsalted cashews, soaked for 2-4 hours, then drained
1 cup torn curly green kale leaves, plus more (to taste)
2 ripe bananas, fresh or frozen
1/8 cup diced pitted dates (or I’d sub dried plums formally known as prunes)
1/2!tsp natural vanilla extract
2 cups ice cubes (or less if using frozen bananas)
1/4 tsp minced ginger, plus more (to taste)
1/2 tsp probiotic powder (you can find at a health food store)

Blend until smooth.

The Subliminator Smoothie

Yields 2 cups

1 1/2 cups frozen banana
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/4 cup frozen cherries
1 1/2 apples, juiced (or about 1 cup store-bought juice)
1 tbsp peanut butter
2 tsp rice-protein powder (or use whey powder or pea powder)
1tsp flaxseed oil (or grnd flax if you don’t have the oil)
1/2 tsp Spirulina powder (health food store)

Blend until smooth
